‘I AM AWARE CAMPAIGN’:  AGREEMENT FORM FOR VOLUNTEERS

It is important that you read and understand the terms and conditions for volunteering for the ‘I AM AWARE Campaign.’ Please make sure that you have, READ, UNDERSTOOD and AGREE to the terms and conditions of volunteering with ‘I AM AWARE Campaign’ before submitting your registration form. 

Please read the following carefully.

  1. I am 18 years old and over.
  2. The ‘I AM AWARE’ brand, logo and paraphernalia, will be used for project activities ONLY.
  3. I understand that being accepted as a volunteer for the ‘I AM AWARE CAMPAIGN’ DOES NOT constitute employment.
  4. I understand that there is NO MONETARY REWARD for me as a volunteer. However, there may be occasional tokens to show appreciation for my time, work and troubles.
  5. I understand that the ‘I AM AWARE Campaign’ is not responsible for the loss of my property, personal injury, illness, accident sustained , or expense incurred whilst volunteering for the ‘I AM AWARE Campaign.’
  6. I understand that the ‘I AM AWARE Campaign’ and its agents will not be responsible for any financial obligations or liabilities the I may incur, including damages to property, or injury to others while participating in this project.
  7. I understand that transportation costs are my responsibility when carrying out volunteering duties for the project. If possible, I will carry out activities, which are within walking distance to where I reside, or work etc.
  8. I agree to follow and abide by all laws of the country, policies of the project and its agencies and communities within which I volunteer. Failure to do so will result in the termination of my participation with immediate effect.
  9. I will send any cancellations and withdrawal from volunteering for the ‘I AM AWARE Campaign’ in writing.
  10. I understand that any violation/acts contrary to the nature of the volunteer status will not be condoned and may lead to the immediate termination of my volunteer status.

  9. Cancellations and withdrawal from volunteering for the ‘I AM AWARE Campaign’ must be received in writing. Similarly, ‘I AM AWARE’ will communicate any volunteer termination from the campaign using the most appropriate means.
  10. Any violation/acts contrary to the nature of the volunteer status will not be condoned and may lead to the immediate termination of your volunteer status.

Edem Selormey is the Project Coordinator for I AM AWARE. She oversees and coordinates the implementation of the IAA project. Her research interests are good governance, social accountability, and public service delivery performance, media, and civil society. 

Team Leaders

Mohammed Awal is the team leader for I AM AWARE. He is responsible for the implementation of project activities, stakeholder and partner collaborations, and dissemination. Awal’s research interests include good governance, social accountability and natural resource governance.

Paul Osei Kuffour is also a team leader for I AM AWARE, particularly in the northern region of Ghana. He works closely with Awal in implementation of project activities, stakeholder and partner collaborations and dissemination in Northern Ghana. Paul's interests include social accountability, social policy enhancement, public administration and decentralization reforms. 

Data Collection

Rexford K. Asiama leads the data collection team. He oversees data collection, simplification, and data analysis. He is also responsible for data collection, analysis and dissemination for Education and Health sectors. Rexford is interested in economic development for local governance systems in Ghana.

Mavis Z. Dome is responsible for data collection, GIS mapping, analysis, and dissemination on the Water and Sanitation sectors. Mavis has interests in public policy and local governance and development.  

Newton Yaw Norviewu  supports data collection, analysis, and dissemination for the Security and Agriculture sectors. His areas of interest are in project monitoring and eveluation as wel as transparent and accountable governance.

Adu Kakra Duayeden  manages the I AM AWARE Data Center and Information Bureau. He also assists with  data analysis, data simplification, and GIS mapping of I AM AWARE data. 

Communications

Mina Okuru leads the communication team for I AM AWARE. She oversees all communication and Social Media campaigns for the project. Her interests are in developing effective communication strategies that positively affect local government systems in Ghana.

Albert Adjei assists ICT.

Other Project Members

Franklin Oduro assists with project coordination and management of I AM AWARE. His research interests are in public policy/public administration, civil society and election integrity, and good governance.

Emmanuel Kojo Asante assists with management and implementation of I AM AWARE. His research interests are in accountability, good governance, and natural resource governance.
